A little about where a Shark steamer got its roots. Shark® is a registered brand of the Euro-Pro Operating, LLC, which also manufactures and markets other well-known brands of home wares and appliances, such as Bravetti®, Ninja® and Euro-Pro®. Originating in Europe, the company established itself in Canada and then later moved to the US (Massachusetts), all the while moving forward with new development and innovative appliance ideas. Today, this third-generation family company is well-positioned in the appliance industry and strives to expand its innovative product lines to meet consumer needs for time-saving cleaning tools that are easy to use and affordable.
Euro-Pro has pioneered the development of steam cleaning technologies and their original Shark® Steamer, is still being used in many homes today. Their line of Shark steamers now includes steam appliances for steam cleaning floors, steam-pressing garments and multi-surface steam cleaners. They also have a line of competitively-priced (non-steam) vacuum cleaning tools. You'll find more information about Shark steamer appliances below along with helpful resources. 1. Shark Steam Pocket Mop S3501
Shark steamer products include more than one type of steam mop, but this is by far the most popular with consumers. It includes an innovative design that allows you to steam clean floors with one side and then just flip (no disconnecting) the mop over to the other side of the mop head, so you can continue your floor cleaning with a clean cloth.
No other steam mop on the market has this kind of versatile design. This is ideal when merging to another floor and not wanting to start cleaning with a dirty mop head. Effective and a consumer favorite, the Shark Steam Pocket Mop gets very good ratings and though the price may seem high, it's an effective cleaning tool with a unique design.
2. Shark Pocket Steamer System SC630
While the original Shark Steamer drew a large satisfied audience, the Shark Pocket Steamer System gets mixed reviews. The Shark steamer itself is similar to the original and popular steamer model, but though this kit is more functional than a lone steamer, consumers aren't convinced.
I've tested the Shark Pocket Steamer System and found it effective for a lot of cleaning tasks, and it has a good variety of tools that allow you to steam press garments, steam clean range hoods or shower doors, stainless appliances and more. While this kit holds a lot of promise, it really depends what you want to clean with your steam cleaner and whether you're prepared to pay for accessories you might never use. The kit price is high compared to the original steamer unit that was sold with little or no accessories.

3. The Shark Vac-Then-Steam
The Shark Vac-Then-Steam Unit attempts to cut out a step, so you pick up dirt with the unit and then begin to steam mop your sealed hard surface floors, without having to get your vacuum cleaner out. It works as a 2-1 cleaning tool. You vacuum your hard floor first with it, attach the steam mop component and within 30 seconds, you're on to steam cleaning that floor. Reviews are pretty good and it can save you some time.
It's also a lightweight tool to use and store. Price of the unit is slightly higher than the Shark Pocket Steam Mop; that's attracting some pleased customers. It should be noted that the Shark Vac-Then-Steam is only designed for sealed hard surface floors and the steam mop component is somewhat different from the Pocket Steam Mop. I haven't had occasion to test this model yet, but the concept appears to be sound and reviews are good. There's nothing else quite like it on the market.
4. Shark Steam Mop S3101
This is the original Shark Steam Mop and it was a popular model, before the market expanded with a variety of steam mop brands, most being more effective at steam cleaning floors. The Shark Pocket Steam 2-sided mop has upstaged this earlier model in way of performance, function and consumer satisfaction. However, a competitive price keeps this original Shark Steam Mop as a good seller with consumers willing to trade a little efficiency, for a steam mop in the $50 range.
5. Shark Press & Refresh Garment Care System
Also part of the Shark steamer family is their Shark Press & Refresh Garment steamer system, which is the ideal pressing tool for those who either don't like to iron or want to save some time pressing garments. It has a nice comfortable design that makes it easy to hold and use.
The system includes a vertical ironing board that can be left on the back of a door - consumers like it and find it much easier to press clothing with the garment steamer when using this accessory. Reviews on this garment steam tend to be somewhat mixed. Be sure to read all the details on this garment care system before buying to make sure you're satisfied with your purchase. The manufacturer has some good basic use tips on their site. Shark also has a line of electric irons if you prefer to press the traditional way.
6. Shark Steamer Products, Manuals, Parts, Accessories
With such a variety of Shark steamer products and cleaning appliances, it's difficult to include every single one and Euro-Pro is ever increasing their steam line of cleaning tools. Hence why I've only featured some of their main products. If you're looking for replacement accessories for your Shark steamer, you'll find a good range of steam mop heads or Shark steamer attachments when comparing prices. 7. Other Floor Care Appliances and Resources
Before using a steam mop to steam clean your floors, you should always vacuum to remove surface dirt. If you steam mop floors without vacuuming, the steam mop cloths will need to be changed shortly after starting and you risk smearing dirt on your floors, rather than cleaning them.
And while a steam mop is great for hard surface floors, you'll need a carpet steam cleaner for keeping your rugs and carpets clean. For cleaning carpet stains without doing the complete room, a handheld carpet spot cleaner is the appliance to use.
