Design & Function:

Krups non-stick Panini Makers are available in two distinct models, FDE3 and FDE4 with the difference being the type of cooking plate, whether grill or flat. These appliances have been designed with floating hinge systems to accommodate varying sandwich thicknesses. They have an attractive chrome exterior and nonstick cooking plates.

Power & Performance:

The powerful 1500 watts of power ensure quick preheating and cooking. The grill plates have an ample 9.5 x 11.5 of cooking surface capacity, and the non-stick finish provides for easy food removal and clean up. The unit has a regulator light that switches off when the panini maker is at the correct cooking temperature.

Convenience Features:

There is a convenient locking latch that will keep the maker closed so you can store it upright to save on space. The handles are thermo-insulated to stay cool to touch - for handling safety. It also has cord storage undeneath the unit.

Getting it Ready to Use:

  • Use only on a stable heat-resistant surface
  • Do not use it near hot surfaces
  • Before using it the first time, remove all packaging materials and lightly coat the nonstick plates with vegetable oil or cooking spray
  • Do not immerse in water
  • Use wooden or plastic utensils to protect the finish
  • Always disconnect and thoroughly cool before cleaning

How to Use This Panini Maker:

  • Close the appliance, plug it in and wait for the light to go off, to indicate the correct temperature has been reached
  • Open it, and place the food on the lower plate, close the lid; the hinges will adjust to the right thickness
  • Cooking will vary according to food and preference
  • You can open it during operation to monitor cooking
  • When cooking is completed, remove the food carefully to not mark the finish
  • Unplug and cool the maker completely before cleaning.

Other Important Information:

The first time the appliance is used, it may give off a slight odor or smoke - this is normal.

Cleaning Instructions:

This appliance cannot be immersed or placed under running water. Simply wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and dry it. For the interior, you can use a little dishwashing soap and damp cloth, or wet sponge to wipe it clean, and wipe-dry it completely before storing. Ensure the safety latch is secured before storing vertically.
