Operation is so simple, remove the Butter Pusher and insert the stick or bar of butter, replace the Pusher and Top, and you're good to go. Just squeeze away, with thumb on the front button and out comes a pat of butter. Give it a breather between squeezes and it works like a charm. When empty, remove the Top, shake out the Pusher and refill, or wash in the dishwasher or by hand in warm soapy water.

- You must have the correct size of butter sticks or bars, and recommended brands are: Land O'Lakes, European Style Challenge, Organic Valley, A&P, ShopRite, to name few, and the one I tested was Lactantia Butter, a Canadian brand.
- Butter bar recommended size is 4.75" long standard 1/4 lb bars. The Lactantia bars were 125g which is slightly more than 1/4 lb, yet fit perfectly.
- Since pats of butter are cold, they spread better on warm foods.
- The filled Butter Cutter must be kept in the refrigerator - butter must be cold for best operation. Slicing is hampered if butter is warm.
- Remember to remove the Pusher before refilling with butter.
- Stores very nicely in the refrigerator.
