The Bottom Line
The Scotch-Brite™ Stainless Steel Cleaner Kit is a good alternative to spray or liquid cleansers for stainless steel appliances. It leaves a beautiful shine that does resist fingerprints. Although I did occasionally have to wipe a little, the handle and pre-moistened cleaning pads leave a polished shine, are easy to use and reasonably priced.

Guide Review - Scotch-Brite™ Stainless Steel Cleaner
I found the Scotch-Brite Stainless Steel Cleaner Kit with the handle and disposable pads very convenient to use, with virtually no mess and it gave the appliances a brilliant lustre that I haven't seen with other cleansers. However, I did find that occasionally, excess cleanser would ooze from the pad and I had to wipe it with a soft dry cloth to even out the cleaning and prevent streaking. As recommended in the instructions, apply only light pressure to the cleaning tool, and this will reduce this occurrence.One cleaning pad was sufficient to clean my 18 cu ft refrigerator and the microwave. I did find that it was necessary to remove the pad and apply it with my hand to difficult or non-flat areas as instructed, and this worked very well.
The shine left on the appliances gives the appearance of quality, polished stainless steel and it does seem to resist fingerprints. In fact, my microwave now looks like it just came out of the box, instead of being inundated with fingerprints that until now, I have not been able to tame. The chrome trim and glass also came out clean and polished. Difficult smudges on the refrigerator door were easily removed. These were probably caused by shipping labels and had been resistant to both soapy water and glass cleaner.
Although a soft cloth may be needed in some instances to even out the cleanser if you press too hard, this is a handy cleaning kit for stainless steel appliances leaving them clean, polished and resistant to fingerprints.
