I was able to round up some delicate whites and kitchen linens that I'm usually relunctant to include in a bleach load, and was immediately impressed by the very mild and pleasant fragrance - a nice change from the traditional bleach smell.The UltimateCare™ drain-back bottle design makes it easier to measure and pour. The thicker, creamy consistency really reduces the risk of splashing. It is gentle enough to pour right into your load without worry of it coming into direct contact with your whites.
Following directions, I measured to the first line for a small and medium load; and full cap for heavily soiled items, and poured it into the wash after the cycle began. It produced a clean wash as expected. White tea towels and pot holders with color bands came out as they should - clean white with bright colors, instead of white with bleached-out patterns. Pretreating with it worked very well. I also did a test on a small colored item and it did not bleach the color out.
Make no mistake though, however gentle this bleach is, it still is bleach and should be handled as such. Formulated for most whites and some colors, the manufacturer recommends not to use it on wool, mohair, leather, spandex and non-bleachable colors. Always do a test on colored items first, to ensure it is safe for those items. Be safe and heed the warnings on the bottle regarding use and treatment.
A good bleach that's gentle even for delicate whites, easy to pour, smells great and is comparably priced.
