Guide Review - Chicago Cutlery Landmark Edition 3" Paring Knife Review
When I first opened the box and saw this paring knife, it was very clear that Chicago Cutlery's Landmark™ Edition knives are professional quality knives.I generally do not like to use kitchen knives with stainless steel handles because I find them cold and they can get slippery while in use.
However, this is not so with the Landmark™ Edition knives. The sleek design and handle material is outstanding for comfort, safety and ease of use. This is not a 'wimpy' paring knife, but one that has a substantial weight to it giving it good balance and control.
This 3" paring knife is very sharp, so chopping and peeling was quickly accomplished. But what impressed me the most was the feel of the knife in the hand. The contemporary design is not only stylish, but very smooth and comfortable, even after several minutes of dicing. The integrated poly material in the handle is adequate for increasing the hand's grip on the knife and it takes away some of the coldness of stainless steel.
This knife has all the features I would look for in a kitchen knife, such as full tang, high carbon stainless steel and raised bolster. In addition, the edge of the Chicago Cutlery knife is enhanced with an Exclusive Taper Grind™ edge for sharpness and to make it easy for you to resharpen when required.
The sleek design makes the knife easy to clean since there are no crevices to hide dirt. Handle materials are hygienically non-porous.
This 2 pc paring knife set includes a nice black woodfibre case with the Chicago Cutlery logo on the flip top. A handy presentation box for gift giving and safe storage.
