Pot racks are available in a variety of finishes, sizes and styles such as:
- Shelf style with rack that attaches to the wall
- Half circle racks to hang either from the ceiling, or on the wall
- Single hooks that hang from the ceiling
- Square or oval racks that hang from the ceiling over an island or counter
- Ceiling racks that enclose a lighting fixture
As far as placement in your kitchen, a good place to hang a pot rack is close to your cooking range for maximum convenience, but never directly above it. Cookware or tools hung over a range would be more prone to attract grease and dust, and could also create a hazard should an item be dropped accidentally on the range during the hanging process. An alternative rack placement could be over a food preparation workspace for handy retrieval of kitchen tools.
