According to Panasonic, these improved oxyride batteries have been proven by National Standards Institute (ANSI) tests to deliver longer battery life in digital cameras, and the best value-per-picture when compared with alkaline batteries.

But Oxyride Batteries are not designed for use in every battery-operated product, but have have been specially developed based on nickel oxyhydroxide chemistry and advanced technology, for high performance and long life in digital still cameras and consumer electronics. They are available in sizes AA and AAA at Walgreens, target and other retailers.
