Definition: Earth Day is a term proclaimed or allocated to one day during the year that municipalities, agencies, states, provinces or countries dedicate to the promotion of earth-friendly or green living initiatives. Many eco-friendly events, promotions or give-aways are held on Earth Day which is usually held in April. Actual Earth Day dates and events vary per country or area and numerous events are often planned around, on or to coincide with this date.
