How the Super Whipper Performed
October 13, 2009 Fashioned with a push-drill action similar to vintage whisks, the SuperWhipper is no speed demon, but operates variably - as fast or slow as you want, to mix, whip or blend foods and drinks. I was able to whip fresh cream, but it took at least eight minutes - not fast, but it does whip, albeit slow. Not surprising, even a rotary hand mixer takes several minutes to whip cream. A faster hand action with the SuperWhipper will render quicker results. I found that using a narrower beacon to blend or mix ingredients in, made the task faster.
It's made of plastics, is lightweight with no sharp edges, so it's perfect for kids to use. It comes apart easily to clean inside and the plastic construction will not scratch nonstick finishes. I found it best for mixing eggs, blending pudding, thin batters and mixes, or just stirring concentrated juice.

Overall Impression
The SuperWhipper is lightweight, economical and operates very smoothly. You regulate how fast it whips, mixes or blends, by how much effort you put into it. The push-drill action does not require any force, just a repetitive up/down operation which makes the whisk turn. This is a smart non-battery design - a mix of old technology with new materials. It's a handy kitchen tool - the more you use it - the more applications you'll find for it. It stores easily and I can see this whisk being very useful in a camper or RV.
