This single piece of Madrid Amber Depression Glass was bought at a yard sale for 10 cents, yet it looks quite elegant on the table as a mint or candy dish, or to hold sugar or substitute. You can easily find pieces of depression glass like this Federal Glass dish at flea markets or where antique housewares are sold. This pattern was probably made sometime around 1932 to 1939.

Owning a full set of this Madrid Amber pattern would be wonderful, but even without accompanying pieces, this dish still serves a purpose and can become quite a conversation piece.
