A friend loves this Oster coffee maker, so I borrowed it for a few days. It turned out to be a good coffee maker choice.

How the Oster Programmable Coffee Maker Performed

This coffee maker makes very good coffee and these features are my favorites: The 2-hour shut-off, cleaning cycle and the water level indicator that is situated on the front of the coffee machine. The front design of this water level indicator is very convenient and not often found on coffee makers; the machine does not have to be turned to view the level. The programmable feature works well and is nice to have. Though the analogue readout looks good, a digital clock would be preferred. This machine takes a standard basket style filter.
The carafe pours nicely without dripping and the Pause 'n Serve feature also works well. There's a brew selector with two choices - regular and strong, and we liked the strong selection the best. The water filling area is small and difficult to fill without spilling water; this could be improved.

Overall Impression
This coffee maker has all the must-have features, including a cleaning cycle and it makes great coffee. Overall, except for the water filling area which could be larger, the design of this coffee maker is very good and the style is appealing. The price is reasonable given the amount of features on this programmable coffee maker and I consider it a good buy.
