The Bottom Line
The Weiman Glass Cook Top Cleaner is the best after trying several brands to get my range top clean and it seems to protect it much longer. When it comes to price, Weiman is much lower than some other brands I've tried - bonus. Plus it's a green cleaning product!

My smooth-top glass cook top has been a bone of contention every since I got my new GE range last year. I've tried several brands of cook top cleaners, with some doing only a partial cleaning, others showing almost no visible change or appearing to give good results only to return to the same messy cook top after only one cooking session. This Weiman® Cook Top® Cleaner is one of the best ones I've tried to date. I used it along with Weiman® Cook Top® Scrubbing Pads and though it took three applications of this cream cleaner to fully restore my cook top, it seems to maintain it much better than others have done. Some of the burned on residue had been resistant to other cleaners, so I'm not surprised that it took more than one application to get it clean.
The cleaning process is easy - apply a squirt of Glass Cook Top Cleaner to a cooled cook top and use a scrubbing pad on more difficult stains and burned on spills. Shine with a dry, soft cloth. Re-apply as needed. You can use other brands of scrubbing pads, but the Weiman Cook Top Pads are non-abrasive, which is a must if you don't want to scratch the glass or ceramic surface. Two weeks after the initial scouring, my cook top still looks fairly nice, with only a small amount of drips and spills. Where I thought cook top cleaning would be needed every week or more often, this cook top cleaner seems to keep it nice longer than some other brands. It's also a green product, which is very nice.
