Guide Review - CLR Stainless Steel Cleaner Review
November 5, 2010
The CLR Stainless Steel Cleaner tested is in a 12 oz spray can, so it was fairly comfortable to hold and use while cleaning my range, microwave and refrigerator, sink and exteriors of some counter appliances. I used a soft cloth to spread and wipe the cleaner and since I had a another type of cleaner on my appliances, the first cleaning session took a little longer than the rest to achieve a streak-free polish. This is normal when changing brands, since you must remove the previous cleaner residue before getting it clean and shiny.
Repeat applications were much quicker; it was evident that the CLR Stainless Steel Cleaner affords a good amount of protection against fingerprints and smudges - better than some brands. Being an aerosol format, it dries very quickly even if you use too much and polishes as you clean and wipe. It did an excellent job of the refrigerator which required little pressure to get a streak-free shine, less than the range where a small towel hung on the door handle, tends to result in water drips on the range front. The range did take longer to clean, but water drips were no problem. What I like the most: It's fast and requires little pressure to get appliances clean and shiny. The CLR Stainless Steel Cleaner definitely is one of the best stainless cleaners I've tried; I highly recommend it.
