This Kenmore food processor is an ample family size and it looks very sturdy and durable. I was curious to see how it performs and handles food processing tasks with the wider feed tube, so I borrowed this unit from a friend to try it out.

How the Kenmore 10-Cup Food Processor Performed
November 5, 2009 This processor looks impressive, plastics seem very durable and it has a very stable and heavy base that keeps the unit steady during operation. The 10-cup size is just right for a family or for large batch processing. I really like the wider feeding tube which saves time and makes it easier to put larger food portions through.
I tried several processing tasks including slicing and chopping, making dressings, chopping onions, peppers and various vegetables for soups and stews. It chops fairly evenly and consistently. I was very satisfied with chopping and slicing results. There's lots of power and it operates quieter than some other large processors I've used. It did complete all tasks well but does work harder when it comes to processing hard vegetables like thick carrots and turnips, though it remains stable on the counter.
This processor comes with only one slicing/shredding disk and I could not find a source for additional accessories. As for maintenance, all parts cleaned up quickly and easily.

Overall Impression
Overall, I do like this food processor's performance, the durable construction and quiet operation. To maximize function, I wish it had more accessories. The wide feeding tube design is terrific and I like the 10-cup capacity of the bowl. I'd recommend it for those that are looking for a large capacity, time-saving processor, than for the creative cook looking to explore a food processor's full potential, mainly because of the lack of processing accessories.
