Not necessarily so! Of course a large capacity model fits and looks better in a large kitchen, but the popular French door style of refrigerator is also available in smaller sizes. You'll find a few models in the 17 cu. ft. range and more variety in the 18 - 20 cu. ft. capacity, which is ideal for a small to medium size kitchen. Upwards in capacity, there's a lot more choice.
So if your kitchen is small, don't rule out this type of refrigerator. Style features include less door swing, a bottom freezer which enables you to keep those refrigerated items you retrieve more often, up front and handy. Remember to check all clearances and installation measurements before buying a refrigerator.
