Follow me on:

This is a very common question and one we hope we never have to ask, since one would expect 18/10 stainless to be resistant to such corrosion.  Unfortunately, that's not always the case and finding rust stains on expensive flatware can be very frustrating. But don't blame it on the flatware. It usually is a matter of how we care for our quality and more expensive stainless flatware.

Find out what can cause your 18/10 stainless flatware to rust or stain and how you can prevent it from happening in the first place, in my: Why Stainless Flatware Often Sustains Pitting, Staining.
