While most of my day revolves around computer work, I also manage to squeak in some time to enjoy crafts, sewing and beading. That means countless hours peering at something or other and over time that can take a toll on your vision. I've also found myself battling a headache or trying to relax stiff neck and shoulders, merely from straining to see the task at hand.
In order to save energy, I switched years ago from incandescent lighting, to compact florescent and then to a full spectrum task light. Each type has its benefits and problems, but most lack the brightness and adjustment possibilities I really want in a light.
The Uberlight 8000C is a compact LED energy-saving task light that you can mount on your desk or table. While there are many goose neck style lamps on the market, this one is different. It's sturdier in design and stays put when you adjust it. It also doesn't overwhelm my desk top, but illuminates where I need it.
