Many years ago, I decided to splurge and get a self-clean oven and I've never looked back. There have been many different ovens in our kitchen since then with various moves, but self-clean is one range oven feature that I absolutely insist on. Everything else is negotiable. Why? Because I lead a busy lifestyle and there's so much other stuff I want to do, then be bent over a smelly oven, dodging fumes and garbed with rubber gloves.
