A Small Sewing & Mending Kit Can Save the Day

Thursday April 5, 2007
I've been really surprised when some folks tell me that they don't even have a needle and thread around their home, let alone a button jar which, by the way, I still consider a household staple even though the children have now left the nest. So what do folks do when a button has popped off their favorite dress shirt and a social event or job interview is looming? Wait for mom or grandma to stop by, buy another shirt or attempt to pin or hog tie the button in place? This is where a small sewing and mending kit saves the day. To see how easy it is to assemble, read my Assemble a Small Sewing & Mending Kit.
